The inicrcotructure and orientation are analysed for the Ni-Ti ribbon obtained by the melt-spinning method. The results show that the micrcotructure of the matrix in the rapidly solidified (RS)Ni-Ti ribbon is culumnar grain with a preferred orientation of [100]B2. The dianieters of the columuargrains are 15~20 μm. The granular second Phase, with F. C. C. structure (a= 4. 33 A ) in the ribbonis reported firstly.
