As a technical supervisor of the unit in charge of the construction of Ziyang Highway Ovetpass.the author expounds .mainly from the angles of structure and construction techniques,the designing characteristics of the ribbed panel structure and disc type rubber support of the major bridge's disc of the overpass .and the measures used to prevent uneven settlement of the bridge approach and the approach. In addition.a brief explanation is given of the method of block pavement. Thus. it affirms the overall construction quslity of the overpass and its superiority in increasing the pass capacity and economic and social benefits.
