摘要
本文主要论述了具有叠加性质的吐鲁番中、新生代断陷盆地中,新构造运动的构造形迹与地貌显示、指出晚第三纪以来周边山地与盆地底部巨大的断块差异升降运动,乃是深陷盆地形成的关键;盆地中新构造运动形迹十分明显,地貌表现普遍而突出。
Neotectonic movement in Turpan Basin has five expressions:1. Situated in the Tianshan Mountains,Turpan Basin is an intermontane fault basin of Meso -Cenozoic. Its outline formed in the end of Permian and finalized in the early Pleistocene of the Quaternary.2. Neotectonic movement is very strong. The fault blocks of around mountainous regioils raise vioiently,and the basin sinks uninterruptedly. Thus,the lowest depression which slopes frorn south to north forms in China,3. Neotectonic movements include mainly fracture and fold. The former is mainly the piedmont fracture zone with revivability, and the latter is the piedmont fold and tectogeneses of Huoyan Mountains and Salt Mountains.4. Geomorphologic expressions of neotectonic movement are widespread, such as outstanding contrast terrain, layered lineament, evolution of water systems, change of river courses, deeply dissected valleys and river terraces, etc.5. Earthquake, as one of the indicators of neotectonic movement, occurs sometimes. Its intensity and frequency in Turpan Basin, however, are weaker than that in piedmont of the Tianshan Mountains.
