影响水分特征曲线的因素主要是质地、结构和容重。质地对曲线的影响最明显，颗粒越细，曲线斜率越大。容重和结构的影响主要是在含水量接近饱和段，团聚体含量越多，容重越小，曲线在该段越平缓则曲线越陡。团聚体含量多时，曲线呈指数型，而团聚体含量少时则呈“Ｓ”型。质地、结构和容重对水分特征曲线的影响是由于其对土壤表面积和孔隙状况产生影响所致。

The effect of texture is most significant;the smaller the soil particles,the steeper thecurve.The effects of structure and density are chiefly in the section near water saturationpoint;the higher the content of aggregate and the smaller the bulk density, the steeper the curve.When the content of aggregate is higher the curve is exponential pattern,or it becomes“S”pattern.The effects of texture,structure and bulk density are caused by their influence on soil surface andperosity.
