GIS is a hightechnical space analysis system,also is a important field of computer ap-plications.After 30 years development ,GIS has gradually formed its own setup in system organiz-ing structure and function etc, and has achieved successful applications in some fields. this paper in-troduces some progress of GIS and its applications in land management.
