Influence of nasal packing on presssure in tympanic cavity

应用丹麦产Medsen 330型阻抗测听仪对43例患鼻部疾病的住院患者共86耳进行阻抗测听检查,发现鼻部病变及手术后前鼻孔填塞均可影响咽鼓管功能,从而导致鼓室压力变化,但撤除鼻腔填塞物后,鼓室压力可恢复至常态。

Impedance audiometry examination was performed in 43 patients suffering from nose diseases (86 ears). It was found that function of the Eustachian tube was affected by diseases of the nose or postoperative nasal packing, indicating some change in the tympanic cavity pressure was induced by the packing. However, the tympanic cavity pressure could be recovered to normal when the nasal packing was removed.
