A new trachylobagibberellin analogue methyl 2.16R-cyclogibberate was synthesized from gibberellic acid(GA3)3by a facile method of four steps. All intermediates were identified by MS,IR and 1D,2D NMR. The 1H and (13)C NMR chemical shifts and stereochemical configuration of 1 were substantiated by one-dimensional and two dimensional NMR techniques.
