Large-size carbon nanotubes were prepared by a.c.arc-discharge method under an inert atmosphere.Multipattern images were obtained through transmission electron microscope.The hollow inner diameter and the distance between carbon layers in some nanotubes are larger than those previously reported. In particular, some special structural patterns were first observed.
