Derivative temperature-programmed reduction spectra(DTPR)were first proposed.In order to obtain DTPR spectra from experiments,a series of computer programs was edited in ASSEMBLE and SOFT BASIC languages.With the aid of computer,the DTPR spectra of Cu-based catalysts for methanol synthesis were successfully obtained.Although it was very difficult to know how many kinds of of Cu oxide species there are in the Cu/Zn/Al catalyst(Sanming Chemical Factory)from TPR spectrum,The DTPR spectra showed obviously that there were three kinds of Cu oxide species in the catalyst.Both TPR and DTPR showed there was one kind of Cu oxide species in MK-101 Cu/Zn/Al catalyst(Topose).The results indicated that MK-101 was easier to be reduced and more homogeneous than the catalyst of Sanming Chemical Factory,It has been found that the resolving power of DTPR is better than that of TPR.
