A sulfur capture performance model is proposed and developed for applications of circulating fluidized bed boilers. The effects of operation parameters on sulfur retention are calculated and predicted. The parameters includes sorbent size, fluidizing velocity, Ca/S mole ratio, suspension density and temperature etc. The model prediction agrees well with the CFB pilot plant data.
