In this paper, the author analysizes the gear measuring technique andmeasuring equipment required in automobile industry and introduces the instruments manufactureed at home and abroad used for measuring involute cylindrical gears, gear cuttersand bevel gears. Anymore, the development status of gear measuring center and automatic gearsorting machine are also introduced.
