An X-ray fluorescence method for the determination of Si,Al, Ca, Mn, Cr, P and S in ferro-silicon by the Model ARL 8480 XRF spectrometer is described. Pressed-powder pellet technique has been used for preparing the samples. The analytical results obtained by this method are consistent with those obtained by chemical analysis. The developed method is rapid, accurate, economical, convenient and has reached the satisfactory results.
