Metric Description of Light in Nonlinear Media

摘要 应用光学度规模型并利用Cartan结构方程和测地线方程,半定量地研究了光在非线性介质中的运动情况并与过去的结果进行了比较. This paper studied the motion of light in nonlinear media quasiquantitively based on the optical metric model and Cartan equation. The phenomena such as the self-focussing, diffraction, and the self-trapping were explained well. And it was derived that the light in nonlinear media moves spirally, but this theoretical result has yet to be proved by more accurate experiments. Also the comparison with the traditional results was made in this paper.
