美国普惠公司PW4000系列发动机是我国民航使用最多的大型涡扇发动机之一,在航线上飞行的和即将交货投入使用的PW4000系列发动机共70余台。从1994年开始,PW4000系列发动机将逐步进入大修时限。 PW4000发动机有多种型号,我国目前使用的有4个型别,即PW4052,PW4056,PW4158 和PW4460。 PW4052发动机,涵道比5:1、压比27:1、推力23000十牛(52000磅力),装在波音767-200型飞机上。 PW4056发动机,涵道比5:1。

Authorized by CAAC, AMECO-Beijing Powerplant Overhaul Subdivision is presently capable for heavy maintenance inspection and module change of PW4052/ 4056 engines . The planning of future repair levels is in preparation to overhaul PW4052/4056 engines, beginning 1994 .The Powerplant Overhaul Subdivision has comprehensive capabilities for these two engine types, and is equipped with all major high technology machinery to perform engine repairs .In the article the Progressive Maintenance Planning has been introduced by the author, and nine levels of maintenance ( line maintenance, limited heavy maintenance, major heavy maintenance, maximum heavy maintenance, limited parts repair, major parts repair, maximum parts repair, accessory component maintenance and engine test) have also been described briefly.
