享誉世界的米格－２１战斗机是原苏联米高扬设计局于５０年代初研制的一种单座发轻型超音速战斗机，１９５８年开始装备部队，总产量在５０００架以上。该机还大量出口和被仿制，至少有３７个国家的空军装备了这种飞机。米高扬设计局自成立以来，所设计的米格歼击机总共生产了５万多架，米格－２１占１０％。俄国《祖国之翼》杂志１９９２年１０期开始连续载文详细介绍米格－２１及其改型的发展过程。
Mig-21 is a single-seat single-engine supersonic fighter, developed in 1950s by the ex-USSR Mikoyan Design Bureau . It became operational in 1958 with total production amount of more than 5000 and was exported and copied in great numbers . It is in service with at least 37 nation s Air Forces . Offering to the readers, this article presents the process of its birth with some unknown details -which is helpful, to understand this kind of fighter and recognize the cource and practice taken by the ex-USSR on the development of fighters.
