China Eastern Airlines Aims at Internationalised Major Carrier

中国东方航空公司自1988年6月正式成立以来,发展十分迅速,年利润以平均20％左右的速度递增。1993年,公司的运输和经营取得了前所未有的好成绩,实现利润38亿元,上缴国家利税6.7亿元,已连续3年在整个民航系统中名列前茅。为了了解东方航空公司在经营及管理上的特点和近年来取得的成绩,本刊记者赴沪对该公司进行了采访。

During only 6 years since the foundation of China Eastern Airlines (CEA) in June, 1988, it develops much rapidly, with the profit increased at the average rate of 12% a year . In 1993, CEA made achievements unprecedently on transportation and other businesses, with the profit of 3800 million yuan RMB and the profit tax of 670 million yuan RMB, which are the top one in China Airline. At present, CEA is preparing for shareholding reform . Its stock would be listed abroad as early as possible this year. IA editors went to Shanghai to have this report.
