Introduced here is a relatively new concept in the management of marine ecosystem-large-marine ecosystem and its necessity. The factors influencing the status of the system and the assessment indices are described. The principles of constiuation and project programming in esttabEshing and management of large marine ecosystem are expounded. The contradiction in sharing investment and benefit amomg peripheral nations by the assigned waters for the system, and the solutions of international consultation as well are probed.
