薄荷油终止家兔妊娠作用的实验观察

Mentha oil effective in terminating pregnancy in rabbits

家兔孕后第6天或第9天宮腔内分别给予不同量的薄荷油,于第12天处死观察胚珠变化。给药前及处死前取血供雌、孕激素及hCG水平的测定。给药组的血浆孕酮及雌二醇水平与对照组无显著性差异,而hCG水平则显著下降。给药组组织切片镜下观察可见滋养叶细胞明显变性坏死。实验结果表明,薄荷油具有终止早孕及抗着床作用。这种作用可能与绒毛膜的损害有关,也可能由局部刺激引起子宫收缩所致。

Different doses of mentha oil were given to one horn of the uterus of rabbit at pregnant day 6 or 9. It was found that mentha oil was able to inhibit implantation and interrupt early pregnancy. Before and after administration of the drug , blood samples were taken in order to measure the levels of plasma estrogen,progesterone and hCG. No change was found in levels of estrogen and progesterone, but that of hCG was significantly decreased. Histological examination of the placenta was also performed, with degeneration and necrosis of the choria under influence of the drug observed.
