Sample sizeper treatment must be determined first by researchers when the experiments of fruit treesare designed.This kind of determination of often based on experences only but not onstatistics.By means factual examples,this paper discussed the partition and quantificationof random variation of nontreatment in the general experiments of fruit trees,and themethods of saniple size estimates under given precision. The optimum allocation of the ex-periment materials has been studied according to the cost and precision of experiments.
