On the ground of summarizing structure principles of available unwinding machines, the structure characteristics of light unwinding machine of driving type were described. It has no a pair of guiding rollers and a regulating mechanism of the space between them which are components of general unwinding machine of driving type. The calculating method of driving power for this kind of unwinding machineand its practical example are given.
