１９８５年～１９９３年对黑鹳先后组成４对配偶．共产卵３２枚，受精卵１４枚，受精率４３．７５％，出雏８只，出雏率５７．４％，成活５只，成活率６２．５％．黑鹳在笼养条件下，３岁时性成熟．齐齐哈尔地区４～６月份产卵，一般窝产卵４枚，年最多产卵１６枚，孵化期３１天．黑鹳为晚成鸟，自然育雏在雏鸟出壳后３～４小时开食，人工育雏２４小时开食，１５日龄雏岛开始生长初级飞羽羽鞘．２０～２５日龄能站立，３０～３５日龄能走动，６０日龄雏鸟能独立生活．６５～７０日龄能起飞．７５日龄体型基本固定，体羽近似成羽．

Between 1985 to 1993, 4 pairs of Ciconia nigra birds were coupled, layering 32 eggs in total, 14fertilized (fertilization rate 43. 75%), 8 birds hatched (hatching rate 62. 5%), 5 survived (survival rate 62. 5% ). Under the condition of cage raising, the bird reaches sexual maturity at the age of 3. Bird layers eggs from April to June in Qiqihar region,generally 4 eggs per brood. The maximum number of eggs layered per bird is 16 annually. Hatching duration is 31 days. Ciconia nigra is slow growing bird. Young bird begins eating 3 to 4 hours after breaking egg shell in natural conditions and 24 hours for artificial rearing, starts growing growing primary flight feather at 15 days, Stands at 20 to 25 days, walks at 30 to 35 days, lives at 60 days, flies at 65 to 70 days, takes adult shape at 75 days and forms teleptiles.
