福寿螺的雌雄比例为１：０．５８．性成熟年龄为３．６月龄，产卵季节为６～１０月，每月产卵次数２～５次，单个螺一年产卵量达５０００～９０００个。其繁殖孵化的适宜温度为２２～３２℃。福寿螺生长速度较快，１月龄个体重即可达２２．４ｇ，长到１年体重可达３１７．４ｇ．其壳高与壳宽呈直线相关，壳高、壳宽与体重呈幂函数相关，壳宽、壳高与体螺层高度呈直线相关。

The Ampullariagigs spix age of sexual maturity is 3.6 months old, which sex ratio (female: male)is 1:0.58 and the period of ovulation is from June to October with 2～5 time during a month and the number of ovulation is 5 000～9000 a year. The appropriate temperature of breding and hatching is from 22℃to 32℃. ampullariagigs spix grows so quickly that body weight of one-month juvenile could attain to 22.4g andthat of one-year old one could attain to 317.4g. The relationship between shell height and shell width is linear,While those between shell height, shell width and weight of body are exponential. The relationship between shell height, shell width and base height are linear.
