Algorthms for Automatic Input of the Frame of Table

提出了一个表格框架自动输入系统的结构．该系统采用扫描仪输入，去除字符和噪声，抽取表格框架矢量．重点研究了系统的核心：ＥＤＬ算法和ＴＳ算法及实现表格自动输入的技术．作为研究成果，已经建立一个自动输入系统。

The system structure that can automatically input and understand the frame of a table isdescribed.In the system,the table is input by a scanner. The characters and noise in the im-age of the table are eliminated and then the frame vectors of the table are extracted.Empha-sis is laid on EDL and TS algorithms as well as the technique used to realize automatic inputof the table frame. The EDL algorithm separates the characters from the table frame whilethe TS algorithm is used to extract the table frame vectors.Compared with some other algo-rithms,the one proposed by the authors is characterized by its ability to keep the originalwidth of lines and extract lines in all directions. An experimental system has been built andput into practical application.
