This paper outlines the processes,characters and policies of environmental industrydevelopment in foreign countries;describes the developing states and trends of environmentaltechnology and prduct of developed countries,especially in Japan and the United States; analyses and predicts the market statues of environmental industry in these countries; and also offersproposals for promoting the environmental industry in China.
