摘要
报导了光输出反馈损耗调制型双稳Ar离子激光器的实验结果。激光谐振腔内放置一个用作损耗调制器的电光晶体LiN_bO_3。利用光探测器的非线性饱和特性控制腔内损耗。器件的双稳特性随各参量(激光输出到光探测器的反馈系数η、反馈损耗调制系数B、光探测器的饱和光强I_d、输入光信号强度I_i以及激光器的泵浦电流i_a)变化的规律,与半经典理论计算的结果完全一致。
The experimental operation of a bistable Ar ion laser by output-feedback loss modulation scheme has been reported,Within the resonator of laser,there is an electro-optical crystal LiNbO_3 which is used as an optical loss-modu- lator.The resonator loss is controlled by using the nonlinear saturation characteris- tic of photodetector.There is good agreement between the experimental patterns of bista bility and the sen1iclassical theory calculations when the device parameters(such as the feedback coefficient η of laser output to photodetector,feedback loss-modulation coefficient B,the saturation light intensity Id of photodetector,input op-tical signal intensity Ii,as well as pumping current i_A of laser)are changed.
