The performance between traditional dyeing-aid and rare earth dyeing-aid formulas based on the chemical characters of rare earth elements have been compared in printing technology and the dyeing-aid mechanism of rare earth has also analyzed in the chemical fibre. In the colorating process of dacron fabric, rare earth ions can combine with dye molecule produce a stable macro-molecule complex,which rare earth acts as colur aid group. In the colorating process of nitrile fabric,combined with anions in fabric colorating-base the rare earth ions reduce the speed of dye combining with colorating - base and play a role of leveling and colour aid. The applied test indicates that using rare earth as colorating aid to treat chemical fabrics the original colorating technology is not changed with good colorating effect and wide applied fields, that the colorating rate of the chromaticity and brightness enhances greatly, declining the chemical oxygen consumption in colorating discharge liquid, dye amount and output cost with good economic efficiency.
