The method can be used in the deep-prospecting by enhanting secondary field and decreasing arbitrarily primary field. Its detection depth is tbeoretically deeper from tens to a hundred times and measured depth is deeper about 1. 5 to 4 times than conventional induced polarization potential method. The method is characteristic of good resolution at the vertical and horizontal directions and a reliable distinguishing ability to weak anomalies. It is very important for the oil finding by thd induced polarization potential method. Also, it can determine deposits and estimate their reserves. The method has been used in the test of three metal deposits, finding out hidden industrial orebodies. In Anjishan copper deposit, according to the vertical resolution of ηs sounding curve of the method, shallow interferences are successfully compressed to reflect distinctly the orebodies of 300 m deep. The quadrupole facility reflects only the shallow interference. In Shidangshan copper deposit, several conventional tests reflect only graphitization carbonaceous shale close by orebodies. The method can determine obviously orebodies and distinguish metallizing anomalies with anomalies not related to mineralization, reflecting a perfect horizontal resolution. The simulation calculation demonstrates that the detection depth is 4 times high than the central gradient array method. In Guangfu poly-metal deposit, several methods are out of effectiveness whether transient method, galvanic and alternating induced polarization method and electromagnetic correcting method, or ρs sectional drawing, the method can reflect evidently orebodies. In Quaternary overburden in south section of Yuli, Suzhou, the anomalies are found out by the method during doing a test in Guangfu deposit. Through a drilling demonstration, a new ore deposits of pb, Zn and Ag which do not link old ore deposit is first found out. The ore reserve is enhanced one times to form a middle-sized orebodies in Yuli area.
