江苏省土地资源的人口承载潜力探讨

Study on Potential Population Supporting Capacity of Land Resources in Jiangsu Province

从江苏省人多地少、资源匮乏的现状出发，研究了未来一段时间内江苏省土地资源的生产潜力及其人口承载潜力。结果表明，依照目前的人口增长和耕地发展态势，到２０００年江苏省的土地资源只能承载小康型生活水平下的人口，无法保证富裕型生活水平下的人口发展。藉此作者认为，控制人口、保护耕地已成为当务之急。

In view of the critical situation of too large a population and the limited land resources in Jiangsu Province,this paper studies the Potential Productivity and population supporting capacity of land resources in the Province by year 2000.The results show that the land resources may be able to support a population up to the“comfortabk”living standard,but not to the“prosperous”living standard in 2000.The authors put forward measures to enhance the population supporting capacity of land resources.
