SECRETION OF SEX HORMONE IN RESPONSE TO SINGLE OR OREPEATED ADMIN- ISTRATION OF HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPIN IN ADULT MALES

１４例健康成年男子先后接受人绒毛膜促性腺激素（ｈＣＧ）２０００Ｕ单次、连续２ｄ和间隔３ｄ两次肌注。发现重复注射使睾酮和雌二醇的对照值升高，它们的迟发峰的峰值和最大增加值和单注法比较，睾酮无显著差异，而雌二醇则显著减低，提示重复注射至少不增加草酮的释放和芳香化酶对ｈＣＧ激活作用的敏感性下降。此外，雌二醇的迟发峰出现时间比睾酮早，表明ｈＣＧ在兴奋睾酮合成的同时，亦激活赖迪细胞的芳香化酶，使雄烯二酮和睾酮转化为雌二醇增加。

Fourteen healthy adult males accepted intramuscular 2 000 IU of human chorionic go-nadotropin(hCG)in 3 Ways-single injection, one injection daily for 2 successive days and 2 injections inan interval of 3 days consecutively. It was found that repeated injections of hCG raised the control; valuesof testosterone(T)and estradiol(E2). Comparing the principal peak values and maximal increase ratesinduced by repeated injections with that of single injection, the levels of T showed no significarit differ- ences, but E2 did, indicating that during repeated injection of hCG, the release of T was at least not in-creased and that thesensitivity of aromatase to the activation of hCG was decreased. In addition, the emergence of the principal peak of E2 was earlier than that of T, suggesting that while stimulating thebiosynthesis of T, hCG activated the aromatase within Leydig cells resulting in an increase in conversion of androstenedione and T into E2.
