Abstract Sichuan, which has the most important geographical location with rich natural resources,is playing a decisive role in the national economic development for its strong economic basis after 44 years construction. Having changed the industrial structure greatly and with the progressive increases of urbanization Sichuan has great potentialities of economic development and plays a broad leading role for other areas in China. The fields of Sichuan's involving in the international economic cooperation include: infrastructure, basic industries, processing industries and tourism, the technological transforming of the outmoded enterprises and export trade, etc.
