This paper Siyes a brief historical review on Mymarommatidae.A new species of this f&mily and a new record, Palaeomymar anomalum, from China are described and illustrated. The new species is named after Dr. Prof. Chao Hsiu - fu, Fujian Agricultural University, in recognition of his contribution to Hymenoptera and for his enthusiastic gut-dance and encouragement throughout the course of my study. All the specimens are mounted on slides and deposited in the Biological Control Research institute, Fujian Agricultural University.
