The paper introduces a method that the refracting index of air is determined with a Mach -Zehnder Interferometer. The test is accomplished on a self-made shockproof table,Compared with other double-light beam interfering method,it has some advantages such as easy operation,stable and reliable data,easy resolution, etc.
