The size evenness of water reeled tussah silk can be enhanced by improving cocoonbleaching process and operational techniques. Discussions are made on the proper cocoonbleaching processes capable of increasing the nonbreaking filament length and dimini-shing strand unevenness, as well as the enhancement of the operators'performance andpatrolling speed in order to reduce the depth and width of size variation.
