本文在整理分析已建水库实际运用资料的基础上，并参照前人的研究成果，探讨了水库淤积翘尾巴与汛期运用水位之间的内在联系，给出了描述水库翘尾巴临界条件的经验关系式，可供水库设计时参考。

Based on the filed data from reservoirs and former study results.the relationships betweenwater level of reservoir operation in flood season and terminal backwater deposition were studiedand the empirical formulac for critical condition of formation of terminal backwater depositionwere submitted.
