小麦种子活力与产量的关系

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SEED VIGOR AND THE YIELD OF WHEAT

小麦同一品种,大粒种子较小粒种子活力高;粒度相同,先萌发的种子较随后萌发的种子活力高。高活力的种子表现出分蘖、抽穗、开花提早,速度快而整齐;大粒种子比小粒种子平均增产32.2％,第3天萌发的种子平均比第5天、第第7天萌发的种子分别增产26.7％和59.3％,高活力的种子苗期有较多的分蘖成穗是获得高产的最重要原因。

Of the same variety, the seed vigor of the large wheat grains is superior to that of the small ones. Of the same size, the seed vigor of the grains germinating rapidly is stronger than that of those germinating slowly. The seeds with high vigor display an early, rapid and even occurence in tillering, shooting and flowerig. The output of the large grains increases by an average of 32.2% compared with that of the small-ones of the same variety. In the case of the same size, the output of the wheat whose seeds germinate on the third day, compared with that of the wheat whose seeds germinate on the fifth or the seventh day, increases respectively by an average of 26.7% and of 59.3%. The high vigor seedlings grow with more tillerings and prcduclive ears, which is the most important cause of the high yield.
