Computer simulation is used to simulate constant ground speed operation patterns for manual gear shift, power shift and continuously variable transmissions in previous study and to simulate full open throttle and variable ground speed operation mode for power shift transmission in this approach. Compare with the constant ground speed operation mode, it exhibits high potential fuel savings and high productivity.
