The importance of examination of surface fatigue cracks in automobile repair is stated in this paper,and the features of fatigue fracture are briefly analysed. Then the regularity and commonly seen portion of surface fatigue cracks in automotive parts are emphatically discussed. Finally the commonly used examination methods,the working principles and detailed operating processes of fluorimetric and magnetic testers are presented
