技术信息工作是我国的薄弱环节,又是使科技为经济服务的重要环节,是我国有关部门正在关心、探索的所在,本文作者引用了近年的新资料,对他曾进修过的美国国家技术信息服务局(NTIS)的发展近况进行了探讨。全文分引言、由来与发展、人员与机构、联邦技术利用中心、联邦计算机产品中心、经费与开支、信息的收集与存贮、计算机系统及其加工过程、信息产品与服务、交款交货办法、数据库、数据文档、联机检索服务、复制与供应库存资料、发行期刊、出版物和国际合作。

The technical information work is the weak poink in our country, but it is the important link by which science and technology is served to economy and it is the field, which our related organization is paid attention to and, concerned with. The author of this paper uses the recent materials to approach the situation of development of NTIS at which he studied as a visiting scholar.
