文章介绍了开发基干微机＋光盘的较大型数据库的建库和检索软件所考虑的各项技术：信息组织技术、建库技术、检索技术和用户界面技术。通过这些技术的实现，使软件达到了较高的先进性、通用性和容错性。文章还介绍了笔者在程序设计、测试、软件的优化和维护中的方法、经验和体会。
