根据三花间洪水组成特性和三门峡水库调洪运用中的问题，阐述了小浪底水库防洪作用大的原因：控制了三花区间超万洪量的４１．５％，弥补了三门峡水库调洪运用的不足，同时利用其较大的防洪库容还可以将三门峡水库对“下大洪水”的运用机遇提高到百年一遇。

In this peper.the important role played by the Xiaolangdi reservoir in find control is analysed.According to the composition characteristics of flood between Sanmenxia and Huayuankou and earing prod lems in regulation of find in Sanmenxia reservoir. Xiaolangdi reservoir controls 41.5% of the flood volume with a discharge exceeding 10000m3/s, taking place between hanmenxia and Huayuankou.and makes up the disadvantage of using Sanmenxia reservoir for regulating flood.Moreover,in existunce of the Xiaolangdi reservoir, the frequency of using the Sanmenxia reservoir in regulation of large flood originated mainly below Sanmenxia may reduced to only in one hundred years
