his paper describes the application of reversed-phase HPLC to the determination,of internal plant hor-mones [gibberellin(GA_3),3-indoleacetic acid(IAA)and abscisic acid(ABA)]in purified extracts of buck-wheat seedlings,and also gives an extraction and purification procedure useful for the routine analysis of thehormones in plant tissue.A Radial-Pak C_18 Column was used and isocratic elution with MeOH-2%HAc-H_(2)O(40: 40 : 20)at a flow rate of 2.0mL·min￣(-1), was performed with a UV monitor at 254nm. The detection limits were 0.03ng(ABA)and 0.5ng(GA_3)。
