This paper deals with a new sort of functional textile finish agent, that is, the microcapsule durable flavor finishing agent, Which is used in all kinds of fibrous textile products for flavor finishing. The major portion of the diameter distribution of the microcapsules encapsulating fragrances or essences is in the range between 1. 5 and 3. 5 microns, occupying 92. 6% based on the statistical total number of said microcapsules.And the average diameter of the microcapsules is 2. 66 microns. This kind of distribution is favourable for the microcapsules to permeate fibrous structural interstices of textile products. The test results about each quality index and applicating performance ofsaid finish agent Show that the resistance to washing which is determined by the washing frequency is from & to 12 times. The flavor durability of the microcapsules containing fragrance or essences is from 3 to 5 years. And the flavor textile products which are treated by said microcapsule durable flavor finishing agent are provided with excellent softness and smoothness in touch.
