The reasons how the cavitation erosion of diesel cylinder liner is caused is analyzed in this paper. High - frenquency vibration of the cylinder liner is the root cause of cavitation erosion. The method of measuring cylinder vibration and some effective measures to prevent cavitaion erosion are also introduced.
