The necessary conditions to apply ABS to heavy-duty vehicle and bus are discussed in this paper. From the situation in China, it has analyzed road condition, vehicle driving condition, Chinese economy, technical conditions of auto industry and related industries, Chinese current regulations (brake standard) and their relevant issues. Finally social and economic benefit of ABS are discussed.
