Before making the comprehensive evaluation of impact of large hydroelectric projects of the Three Gorges on environment and ecology,preparing work is first introduced. According to system engineering principles,an index system for comprehensive evaluation on environment and ecology is presented. Based on such system, a classification and the relevant standards for the degree evaluationof the influence on environment are proposed. A weighted muti - level linear model and a fuzzy mathematical model for comprehensive judgement, and a principle and method of distributing weighting values are introduced. The method is applied to evaluate the environment impact of the Three Gorges project.
