This paper introduced some applications of BT fiber,a newinorganic fiber material,in petroleum industry. The laboratory study indica-ted BT fiber is resistant to high temperature and very stable in the respectof rheological property, and can disperse and suspend easily oven in theconcentrated clectrolyte solutions.The rheological property of BT fiber canbe described by carson equation.
