epista sordida is a favourite wild edible mushroom with strong aroma. The studies revealed that(1) The optimum pH for its growth is 6.5,and the suitable range of pH is 6 7.(2)The opti-mum temperature for the growth of its mycelia is 2 6.8℃, and the higher and lower threshold temperatures are 40. 67℃ and 0. 213 ℃, respectively.(3)Under natural conditions with mean daily temperature 21.6 27℃ and pH5.0 5.5, the mycelium can generate fruiting body. (4)This species can exist in extensive media with a biological efficiency of 27 34%.
