摘要
在综述初级视区胼胝体功能研究的基础上,提出了视网膜双侧投射带的中枢拓扑联系模型,它不但符合一系列生理学和形态学实验的结果,而且解释了胼胝体存在的必要性:它传送的信号补偿了由于存在视网膜双侧投射带而在每侧皮层上所造成的信息损失。
esults of a series of studies by this researchgroup on the functional roles of the callosalconnections in primary visual cortices were re-viewed. Based on these, a topographical pro-jection model of the vertical retinal bilaterallyprojecting strip was proposed. which not onlyagrees well with experimental results but alsoexplains the necessity of the corpus callosum:signals conveyed by these fibers compansateinformation loss in the cortex due to the exis-tence of retinal bilaterally projecting strip.
