In this paper we undertook to develop a modal electrofusion protocol, in which fusion of hybridoma Cells was induce by bipolar alternating pace, so as to further improve the efficiency of hybridoma production. Under optimal conditions, the exultant fusion frequency of murine hybridomas with the bipolar square wave pace was 2 - 3 fold greater than that with the unipolar pulses in both iso-osmotar and hypo-osmolar fuSion media. We suggest that the symmetrical pembilhation with bipolar alternating pace may amount for this strovement.
