On the basis of an investigation on the installation and service and maintenance of the oilfield sand pumps, this article expounds that the model and parameters of the sand pump selected should be matched with the optimum working pressure and handling capacity of the hydroclones, presents the rules to be followed in installation and service and maintenance of the pump, and puts forward suggestions on research and development and use and management of the pump.
